I learned that she has a crazy pension fund from when she worked as a cashier in college.  Turns out that when she hits the ripe age of 65 bucks, her former union will hack up about $185/month!  I'm looking how to roll that into some kind of IRA...  turns out I need to find the "Actuarial Present Value of these things first.  So far I've found a couple online calculators to help out.

Her and I are going on a backpacking trip proper from friday to sunday.  We went today to stock up on food.

On monday, I get to pack my shit again and go to Shaw Island of the San Juan Island chain with my brother to do really stupid shit on an island with 40 year round residents.  Good times.

So I guess it will be the week of unwinding.

Next month should bring some juicy contract work.

Oh yeah... I've got the site to support UTF-8 now.  Only had to flip two switches - one on the database, and a "drop in" replacement for Apache::Request to get it to force everything into UTF8 strings.
